“Hi! Thank you for visiting my page. I strive to create a safe space for all people to feel seen and heard. I feel to have an effective therapeutic relationship it is important to utilize a collaborative and person-centered approach. This allows for each client to set their own goals and work towards their empowerment. I am easy to talk to do my best to meet each person where they are in their life.
In addition to a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I am trained as a Certified Complex Trauma Professional Level I and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). I have years of experience working with individuals with complex trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, body dysmorphia, substance abuse, and chronic pain/illness.
I work with children and adults utilizing my professional and personal experience to create an environment that allows each person to be authentically themselves. I utilize cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy to assist others in getting to the root cause of what is creating discord in their life and reach their goals. I have years of experience working with diverse populations and have extensive experience with the Autism and LGBTQI populations.
I do not take for granted how hard it is for each person to take the initiative to find a therapist that works for them. I would love the opportunity to work together to collaborate on a treatment plan that works best for you.”
I am currently working under the supervision of Stephanie Buchanan, LPC.
